Still Breathing Equine was founded by veterans who understand that some of life’s hardest battles begin after the uniform comes off.
Military service, emergency response, and careers dedicated to protecting others often come with invisible burdens. Operational stress, trauma, loss, burnout, and the challenge of transitioning to civilian life can leave people feeling isolated and disconnected. Too often, those who have spent their lives serving everyone else struggle to ask for help themselves.
We believe no one should have to face those battles alone.
We provide a peaceful environment where people can slow down, breathe, reconnect with themselves, and experience the quiet healing that horses naturally inspire.
Our horses don’t care about rank, job titles, medals, or past mistakes. They respond only to the person standing in front of them. Their calm presence encourages people to lower their guard, regulate their nervous system, and simply be present in the moment.
Every session is built around respect, dignity, and genuine human connection.
Whether someone is serving on active duty, has completed military service, or continues protecting our communities as a first responder, they deserve a place where they can step away from the weight they carry.
That is why we exist.
To remind every participant that they are seen.
That they matter.
And that no one has to walk through life’s hardest moments alone.
