VETERAN SESSIONS
The uniform comes off. The need for connection doesn’t.
Ground-based equine experiences providing Veterans with a place to reconnect, find community, and simply be present—without judgment or expectation.
No cost. No judgment. No riding required.
Program overview
Service may end. Your story doesn’t.
Leaving military service can mean leaving behind far more than a job.
For many Veterans, the transition brings changes in identity, purpose, routine, and the sense of belonging that came from serving alongside people who understood without needing an explanation.
Still Breathing Equine provides a place to reconnect.
Our Veteran Sessions bring Veterans together in a peaceful environment where there is no expectation to perform, explain the past, or pretend everything is fine.
Through ground-based interaction with our horses, participants can slow down, focus on the present, and experience genuine connection—with the horses, with other Veterans, and sometimes with parts of themselves they haven’t felt connected to in a long time.
You don’t have to talk about what you’ve been through to belong here.
